COVID 19: HOW TO WRITE A TRAVEL PERMIT FOR YOUR EMPLOYEES DURING THE RESTRICTION MOVEMENT ORDER

It was announced last Friday on the 20th of March that the government will deploy the military on Sunday to assist the police enforce the Movement Control Order (MCO) over COVID-19. As an F&B owner that is still operating and is considered an essential service to provide food to your customers via delivery, You need to provide permit letter to your employees as a prove that they are part of the essentials service crew. But how do you write a letter to the authorities so that your employees can go to work without any disruption or being fine by the police or the military?

From what we found out, you need to write a letter addressed to the authorities and hand it to each of your employees to have it with them so that they can show it to the police or the military should they be stopped. But how do you write the permit? What should you include? Here is a guide and also copy and paste to make your life easier.

What to Include in the Letter

Make the purpose of your letter clear through simple and targeted language, keeping the opening paragraph brief. You can start with, “ Reference is made to the above matter…” and from there, communicate only what you need to say.

Sections of a business letter

Each section of your letter should adhere to the appropriate format, starting with your contact information and that of your recipient’s salutation, the body of the letter; closing; and finally, your signature.

The Body

Use single-spaced lines with an added space between each paragraph, after the salutation, and above the closing.Left justify your letter (against the left margin).
